This vehicle was purchased as an ex demonstrator with 11k on the clock. Over 2 1/2 years of ownership and 52,000 miles later (current total mileage is 63k), my Exeo has proven to be the most reliable vehicle i have ever owned. Build quality is exceptional, and is actually better than that found in our other car, a BMW 318d SE (2008 e90 model). The Exeo is an extremely capable car, and being fitted with the 170bhp 2.0 diesel engine has strong performance, with good levels of handling and grip. In gear aceeleration, particularly at motorway speeds is very strong. Being more of a "lifestyle" estate, the boot isn't up there with the biggest cars in class in terms of space, but we still find it adequate for carrying all we need for family holidays. The only downsides to this vehicle are that the ride is a little less composed than with competitors at the front of the class (i.e. BMW 3 series), particularly running on 18 inch wheels and the car can have a fair appetite for tyres. The latter point however may be more of a reflection of my particular driving style. This car is driven hard almost everyday, usually clocking up a round trip commute of 100 miles most days along with the odd high speed drive across Europe. This is a highly rewarding car to own, only ever needing routine maintenance (at reasonable cost from Seat, e.g. recent major service and rear brakes costing around £400) and also returns strong fuel economy (regualarly nudging 50mpg). Equipment levels are also excellent. The Tech trim level adds a fantastic hifi / dvd based sat nav by Bose, heated leather sports seats and a few other goodies and is well worth having. Overall my experience with the Seat Exeo has been very rewarding. It's a very easy car to live with, is hugely reliable and a great long distance cruiser. We once spent 18 hours in it on a long / delayed drive across Europe and still felt fairly fresh when we finally arrived home. Whilst not at the forefront of current design (it is based on the previous generation Audi A4), the Exeo is still an excellent car and a choice which stands out as being a little different from the crowd. Its just a shame that Seat will not be directly replacing this model, the effective replacement being the new Leon ST, which i feel sits in a segment below the Exeo and is perceived (in my opinion) as less prestigious. Simply one of the best cars i've ever owned.
Similar in style and build of earlier Audi A4. Sport model with low profile tyres. Power and acceleration when required. Reasonable running costs. Little trouble although was subject of a recall for a tyre change. Had a problem with noise when on full steering lock until a drive shaft was changed. Many extras as standard. Good car to drive. Little disappointed with limited leg room for rear passengers. Good luggage area.
I like most things about this vehicle. It is reliable, versatile and has good acceleration when required. I am somewhat disappointed with the passenger leg room in the rear. I am not a fan of low profile tyres as the ride seems too hard. The vehicle has many extras as standard.
Good reliable comfortable car. Has performance if needed but can be driven frugally. If you are requiring load carrying then the estate version would be a better buy. Overall a good family car, easy to drive, easy on the pocket and comfortable.
Smooth, reliable engine. Comfortable ride, more so now that the car has been fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres as opposed to the original Bridgestones. Lots of kit for the price.
Fantastic car to drive, very smooth performance and extremely comfortable. My only slight niggle is that it is a little heavy on juice but it does have 170hp engine.
Powerful enough to overtake easily. Comfortable, but because of body style a few rattles have started. Very economical especially on a run.
