Following a series of sports cars grand children forced a change of car. The CX5 has about 180 bhp so has enough zip for most conditions and returns between 40 and 50 mpg.
I chose the Mazda after looking at similar cars in the SUV style. Price, quality, and engine size/output narrowed my choice to Toyota or Mazda. I road tested both. The Toyota drove like a lorry and rolled like a drunken sailor. The Mazda drives like a slightly over weight hatchback and is a safe and predictable drive.
By doing my homework I got the right car.
Comfortable car with a lovely Diesel engine. The only gripe I have is the fuel consumption. I chose the 2 wheel drive model to get better fuel consumption but i average 42 mpg driving carefully. This is nowhere near the 60+ advertised.
This is 2nd model of this car, I've had & found both equally reliable, easy to drive even on long distances. I have even pulled a car out of a ditch, where the car the car had slid during a heavy rainstorm!
Comfortable, good consumption for the vehicle. Plenty of space and trim level excellent
It meets all my needs but a bit tight on rear seat leg room.
