This year’s International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) in Frankfurt will reveal a number new Volkswagen releases, the company has announced.
Spanning 50 new models, the product launch will feature the Tiguan – which the manufacturer states is a "new generation" of sports utility vehicle.
Features of the Tiguan include a supercharged engine, which ensures that it "offers two particular advantages: lower fuel consumption and still fun to drive", according to Volkswagen.
Other new developments on display are six new BlueMotion models, as well as the manufacturer’s new official motto: "see what’s driving tomorrow".
The IAA will take place between September 13th and 22nd and Volkswagen’s exhibition will be located in Hall 3.0.
Last month Volkswagen announced that it is expecting to make a pre-tax profit of 5.1 billion (£3.4 billion) during the course of 2007.
The manufacturer made the announcement after its first half operating profit hit 2.8 billion after selling more than six million vehicles during this period.
