The BlueMotion label, which may be familiar to used Volkswagen Passat drivers, is to be the focus of a new package by the manufacturer.
A recent survey from Fleet News found that the environmental label was one of the most recognised throughout the UK and to build on this Volkswagen has highlighted some of its benefits.
Among the vehicles to include the environmental technologies are the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion 2 and the Volkswagen Passat TSI EcoFuel.
The BlueMotion 2 features a stop-start system, which turns of the engine when the vehicle becomes stationary, while generating 128g/km of CO2 emissions.
Meanwhile, the TSI EcoFuel is powered by natural gas and uses a turbocharged and supercharged direct-inject engine.
This helps the vehicle to have the capabilities of reaching a maximum speed of 130 miles per hour, alongside having an "excellent" fuel economy.
If the natural gas level begins to run out for drivers of a used Volkswagen Passat, then the vehicle can be switched so that it runs on petrol.
According to Channel Four, the assets that the BlueMotion 2 has include it being economical, "quick and agile", as well as being "impressive looking".
