Motorists looking for a vehicle that is top of the pile in terms of being a small family car may want to try out the Volkswagen Golf after it has scooped an award.
At the Fleet News Awards, the Golf was successful in the ‘Best Small Family Car’ category, with a number of key industry figures deciding on the whereabouts of the award.
The award is nothing new for the small vehicle as it has previously picked up the same accolade from What Car? magazine.
At the awards the judging panel noted: "The latest evolution of the Golf has picked up where the previous model left off.
"With an impressive range of economical and refined engines, superb build quality and strong residuals, the Golf offers fantastic value for money and has set the benchmark for the sector once again."
Volkswagen’s head of fleet services Vincent Kinner added that the Golf has been well-received since its launch in January.
According to Channel Four, the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI provides drivers with class-leading refinement and is the "pick of the Golf range".
