Motorists who enjoy driving a used Vauxhall Astra may be interested to hear that a new model in the range has been unearthed in Germany.
A new version of the Astra has been spotted at a testing facility for General Motors in Germany, prior to it going on sale towards the end of this year.
Updates to the back of the vehicle can be seen for the first time, with the Astra seeing changes to its rear lights, alongside the shape of its rear window.
Autocar states that the Vauxhall Astra’s all-new chassis should "offer greater refinement and better handling".
Further changes follow aspects that have already proved successful in the Vauxhall Insignia, such as work done to the dash and centre console.
According to the TV show Top Gear, the car will perfectly suit a motorist simply looking to cover the basics.
It states that "the seats are excellent", "the basic structure of the car feels solid" and the vehicle is "fun to drive".
