Czech car manufacturer Skoda has revealed record figures for the year so far.
The company has commented that it has produced 462,400 vehicles from January to September, representing a 13 per cent increase of the first nine months of 2006.
Customers are picking up the Octavia in increasing amounts, with 12.3 per cent more this year than last, while the Roomster has also produced strong sales.
Motorists with one eye on the environment may be particularly attracted to the latter as the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders recently hailed it as the lowest-emitting MPV.
Skoda commented that its total sales revenue for the year so far has topped £4.25 billion, while its profits have seen a 39.3 per cent increase to £370 million.
Meanwhile, the Skoda advert in which bakers create a Skoda vehicle has won the prize of commercial of the year at the British Television Advertising Craft Awards.
