Skoda has announced that it sold 60,665 cars in March, making it the most successful month in the manufacturer’s history.
These numbers represent a 14.8 per cent increase on the number of sales the automaker achieved in March 2006.
Some 149,926 Skoda Fabias, Octavias, Roomsters and Superbs were sold in the first quarter of this year, delivering the highest quarterly sales figures that the company has ever achieved.
Some 15.5 per cent more vehicles were sold in the first three months of this year than in the corresponding period of 2006.
One of the main models expected to lead Skoda’s continuing growth for the rest of the year is the new Fabia, which had its world premiere at the Geneva motor show and is currently being launched in the Czech Republic and Germany.
Among the features of the new model is 300 litres of boot space and a choice of four petrol and three diesel engines.
