Seat September sales soar to ‘best ever levels’

Spanish automaker Seat has seen sales increased by close to seven per cent so far this year, representing a solid increase in UK business for the firm.

During 2007, the company has so far seen 28,116 new cars registered, with the organisation expecting to hit a company milestone in Britain of 35,000 by the year’s end.

September was a particularly good month, as 12 per cent more vehicles with their branding were purchased than in the same month a year previous, meaning 6,851 vehicles were snapped up.

"This brilliant result smashes yet another sales record for Seat in the UK. It seems that the Seat formula of producing sporty, stylish cars that offer fantastic overall value for money is really clicking with British buyers," said director of the firm’s UK operations Peter Wyhinny.

Famous models from Seat include the Ibiza and the Toledo.
