The seven-seat Seat Alhambra has been given the stamp of approval in Parker’s Car Price Guide this month.
According to the publication, the people carrier is traditionally regarded as the best value vehicle of its kind, in comparison to the likes of the Ford Galaxy and the Volkswagen Sharan.
The Alhambra is praised for its practicality, its drive quality and the fact that it is well-equipped.
People looking to buy average mileage cars should be able to find a model from around £2,500, according to Parker’s guide, while diesel versions, which will see higher demand, are likely to be priced from £3,000 for the 1.9 TDI model.
Among the other vehicles highlighted by the report this month is the Vauxhall VX220 Turbo, a car capable of 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds, which will be available at a saving of around £7,000 owing to the appearance of the new VXR model on the market.
In the small car market, the Ford Ka was recommended as offering cheap, comfortable driving for under £5,000 and the MG ZR presents good value for money in a car that is fun to drive.
