Alongside benefitting from the scrappage scheme introduced by the government in its Budget, buyers of a new Renault Clio may be able to take advantage of additional financial savings.
Under the scrappage scheme, owners of a vehicle that is over ten years old can scrap their car in return for a £2,000 discount on a new car from a manufacturer taking part in the format.
Renault has welcomed the voluntary scheme, with motorists able to save money on a host of new vehicles.
However, on selected models, such as the Renault Clio, buyers can benefit from additional incentives to make extra financial savings.
Roland Bouchara, managing director of Renault UK, said: "We fully support the vehicle scrappage scheme and welcome the announcement.
"With one of the newest, safest and least-polluting model ranges in Europe … we feel ideally placed to offer prospective buyers some of the most enticing offers and vehicles on the market."
Among the top vehicles in the Renault Clio range for supporting the environment is the five-door Dynamique dCi 86, which allows a motorist to complete 64.2 miles per gallon of fuel.
