A new urban driving model has been launched by Renault at the European Road Transport Show in Amsterdam.
The New Kangoo Van Kompact is shorter than its predecessor the New Kangoo Van by 38cm and is an attempt by the firm to further shore up its place in the light commercial vehicle market, it said.
People who regularly commute into city centres will benefit from the product as it is "agile" and will fit into small spaces, while also being good for manoeuvrability purposes, Renault suggested.
Various engines are available for the Kangoo Kompact, dependant on where it will be driven the most. An output on the 1.5 dCi diesel motor comes at 70hp or at 85hp and the 1.6 8V petrol engine has 90hp, Renault confirmed.
Additionally, the product has a variety of storage spaces, such as an "overhead parcel shelf" and glovebox of 15-litres.
The constructor of a variety of cars and vans, Renault was founded in 1899.
