Boxster boosted by new parts range

A number of exciting new components have been unveiled by engineering company Janspeed to enhance the existing Porsche Boxster.

The first set of parts to be introduced by the Salisbury-based company is a range of performance exhaust components, suitable for the 2.7- and 3.2-litre variants, including a stainless steel exhaust, constructed of aircraft quality metal and featuring twin backslashed 90-mm centre exit tailpipes.

Janspeed has also created a new component for drivers looking for more performance from their Boxster – a high-flow, direct replacement sports catalyst package.

This feature will utilise free-flowing internals which reduce back pressure while also retaining MOT emissions compliance.

Finally, the company has unveiled a pair of high-performance equal length manifolds for the Boxster. Both power and torque across the rev range will be improved by equalising the primary pipes length, according to Janspeed.

Tests have been carried out using the new parts, suggesting that the Boxster will benefit from an extra 20bhp and 15lb/ft of torque.
