The Peugeot 308 has been named the most economical family-sized car in the 2007 MPH Marathon.
Annually, the competition sees competitors complete a number of driving challenges in which drivers are challenged to reduce their fuel consumption.
Yet despite competition from the Audi A3 2.0TDi, the Kia cee’d 1.6D and Seat Leon FR TDI, John Dalton and David Adams, behind the wheel of the 308, came out on top.
Indeed, while the range has carbon emissions from 120 g per km and a fuel economy which exceeds the official combined cycle, Dalton commented that he was surprised by just how much he got out of the model
"Both David and I were extremely pleased with the performance of the 308. It proved to be a highly economical family car and certainly on my part, surpassed expectations," he said.
Peugeot is promoting the 308 with the strap line "Inspired by nature. Drive with pleasure".
