Strong performance of the new 207 assisted sales growth for Peugeot in March, the automaker has announced.
In the month in which new ’07-plated cars hit the roads, Peugeot saw its sales increase by 27 per cent in comparison with March 2006.
The new Peugeot 207 was launched in July 2006 and has been an "instant success story", according to the manufacturer. Sales of 17,600 cars in the first quarter of 2007 made the model one of the UK’s top ten best-selling cars.
Another positive aspect of March for Peugeot was its sales of convertibles, with strong demand making the brand the UK’s "favourite supplier of convertible cars".
One model that has been particularly popular is the 207 CC Sport 120 in aluminium paintwork and black trim. This car is powered by a new VTi 1.6-litre petrol engine.
Any buyers interested in a 207 CC or 207 GT will be able to take advantage of a one-year free insurance offer at the moment, while the popular 107 Urban is available for £5,990.
Announcing its sales and promotions, the automaker said: "With these great offers and lots of exciting new cars and light commercial vehicles it’s time to spring into action and get down to the nearest Peugeot dealer this April."
