Mitsubishi has seen success at the recent Auto Trader Used Car Awards, as the Ralliart RTO coupe was given the Best Sports Car accolade.
The vehicle beat off competition from the Mazda RX-8 Coupe and the Honda S2000 to take the award, which was voted for by readers of the publication.
A number of positive comments were generated about the model from those who responded, with people having suggested that it is "a pure driver’s car" and that it is "fast and fun".
General manager of press and public relations at Mitsubishi Andy Wertheim noted that the Ralliart aims to build upon the essential values that the firm has as its framework.
"The FTO epitomises Mitsubishi’s core strengths of sporting heritage, advanced technology and excellent product reliability – all of which work together for a superb driving experience," he commented.
With front wheel drive, the FTO has a top speed of 120mph and a V6 24-valve DOHC with MIVEC engine.
The awards are set to appear on television in November and will be screened on ITV4.
