Mazda has announced that it will be showing off a new concept vehicle and an updated version of one of its established models at the North American International Auto Show next year.
The firm has invited the media to the unveiling of Mazda wares on Monday January 14th 2008, where it will display the new Furai concept.
Environmental issues have been forefronted in the vehicle as it uses synthetic fuel, while motorsports enthusiasts may be interested in the vehicle as its design has been influenced by an American Le Mans series model.
Meanwhile, Mazda will reveal the "heavily revised" Mazda RX-8 sports car a day earlier.
The model is different from the original 2003 version as it has a new four-door, four-seat design it says offers "unique passenger comfort".
"Sporting a freshened design, improved handling, stronger acceleration, enhanced quality and extra features, the heavily revised new version of the Mazda RX-8 continues to be a sports car like no other," said the firm.
Mazda was formed in 1920 and is an affiliate of Ford Motor Company.
