All-new Mazda 3 to take ‘driving pleasure to new heights’

The programme manager responsible for developing the all-new Mazda 3 has commented that the sport compact is "capable of advancing driving pleasure to new heights".

Yoshiyuki Maeda said: "Instead of altering the size and general makeup, we focused on implementing improvements throughout the body structure, power-train, and chassis that would be immediately apparent to the driver and appreciated by every Mazda 3 occupant."

The car, which was unveiled at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, has key safety and environmental upgrades and both higher standard and optional equipment available.

Used Mazda dealers will be familiar with the popularity of its predecessor. One out of every three Mazdas sold worldwide is a Mazda 3, with the car proving a particularly big hit with young drivers.

A new multi-information display screen positioned high on the instrumental panel could ensure that the Mazda success story continues. The screen displays navigation, audio and trip information, while a second screen, situated to the right, can be used to control the car’s climate.
