Jaguar has given its X-Type vehicle subject a facelift for the coming year.
The firm believes that the changes it has made will offer motorists value for money when they arrive at dealerships in the UK from March 2008.
Part of the update includes a new 2.2-litre diesel engine with automatic transmission, which the company has stated broadens the appeal of the vehicle to customers.
CJ O’Donnell, global marketing director for Jaguar, commented that the new model "stands for accessibility, versatility, luxury and choice".
"The package of revisions – particularly the automatic transmission in the 2.2 diesel – presents our established dealers and the key emerging markets with an excellent opportunity to reach new customers and retain existing owners," he added.
Meanwhile, parent company Ford is still looking to sell Jaguar.
The automaker has commented that there have as yet been no firm offers for the firm or its sister company Land Rover.
