Hyundai has celebrated the success of its new Coupe SIII, which it says has been "a hit with customers" in March.
The car has "performed as well in the showrooms as it does on the road", according to the automaker and has driven sales in the month that saw the new 2007 number plates introduced.
Some 53 per cent more sales of Hyundai’s sports coupe model were made in March this year compared to 2006, a result the company puts down to the car’s recent facelift.
The Coupe SIII was launched in late 2006, with a completely new look and enhanced interior specification.
March was a strong month for other Hyundai models also, including the Santa Fe, which is currently on track to be the manufacturer’s second best-selling model, after the traditional leader the Getz Supermini.
The Santa Fe comes with seven seats and a 2.2-litre diesel engine and until June 30th is available with free accessories, including reversing sensors on the entry level GSI.
All Hyundai cars come with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty as standard.
