A price reduction has made Hyundai’s Getz model "better value than ever", the manufacturer has claimed.
The cost of the entry level three-door Getz GSI has been rolled back by more than £1,000, from £7,517 to £6,496 on the road, while the five-door GSI model’s price has been cut from £8,017 to £6,995.
Buyers of both three- and five-door versions of the Getz GSI will also be able to take up a three-year servicing deal for £99.
The Getz range has been popular since its UK launch in 2002, when it received accolades including the What Car? budget car of the year and Scottish small car of the year awards.
Hyundai’s price reductions have made the Getz £500 cheaper than when it was first launched, while revisions to the range have given it new looks, equipment and engines.
The GSI model comes with a 1.1-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that offers an economy rate of 51.4mpg on a combined cycle.
Air conditioning comes as standard on the line, along with ABS with electronic brake distribution, front airbags and power steering.
