Honda has paid tribute to the success its Accord vehicle has had in the UK over the last 30 years.
The company launched the car in Britain in 1977 and has seen it become a big hit among corporate buyers.
It stated that today 62 per cent of all sales in the UK go to fleet users, with the numbers being bought by firms going up by five per cent year-on-year.
Harvey Hughes, manager of corporate operations at Honda in the UK, commented on the success of the range, which has now reached its seventh generation and will welcome an eighth next year.
"We have a growing customer base and the popularity of Accord has helped to drive this," said the official.
The Accord originally debuted as a compact vehicle and has enjoyed several different body styles, although it is primarily an intermediate vehicle.
