A unique production of Toad of Toad Hall is to be performed in the grounds at Goodwood, where the Rolls-Royce manufacturing plant and head office is located.
Chichester Festival Youth Theatre will recreate much loved characters including Ratty, Mole, Badger and the car-loving Toad and don’t expect to stay in the same seat throughout the performance.
The different scenes will be created in locations around the 42-acre site, making full use of the gardens, lakes and courtyards to be found there. These will include the Wild Wood, Rattys riverbank, the court room and the imposing Toad Hall, with the audience following the production on foot with a travelling band keeping them company.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars chief executive officer Tom Purves said: "We are delighted to support the Chichester Festival Youth Theatre in this unique performance.
"We have a long-standing relationship with the Chichester Festival Theatre and this is one of our many local community initiatives in the West Sussex area."
The play will be performed daily at Rolls-Royce from August 4th to August 16th.
