SsangYong has announced that it plans to unveil a new compact passenger car concept at this years Paris Motor Show in October.
There is sure to be considerable excitement surrounding the first glimpse of the SsangYong C200 which is an urban compact SUV.
Much of the interest will centre around the fact that it will be the first SsangYong to feature a front-wheel drive platform and monocoque construction.
SsangYong fans will be aware that existing models in the UK feature separate body/chassis construction.
The launch marks a new milestone in SsangYongs mid and long-term strategy to expand and broaden the appeal of its line-up and increase customer choice and satisfaction.
The C200 will feature new six-speed manual transmission and a new 2,000cc diesel engine with 175 horsepower.
Although this platform can also be used with a front-wheel drivetrain, the C200 employs SsangYongs intelligent cutting-edge, full-time four-wheel drive technology for optimal driving performance.
It also has impressive green credentials, with low CO2 emissions, conforming to European exhaust emissions regulations.
