An exclusive number plate auction is being held by the DVLA to mark the beginning of the Formula One season.
The association described its event, which takes place this month, as "the perfect curtain-raiser to this year’s Formula One racing season".
Twelve number plates will be auctioned off in total, including such inevitably popular versions as F1 GPX, F1 FAN and F1 MAD.
The items up for sale will not all be racing-themed, however, as 1,400 other distinctive registrations will be up for grabs, including OO07 SPY and MY55 AMG, for any bidders with a Mercedes SL55 AMG in the garage.
Jody Davies, the DVLA’s auction manager, said: "This is the perfect opportunity for avid Formula One fans across the country to secure a truly exclusive F1 registration as the countdown to the racing season begins.
"Motor racing fans attending the sale will also have the opportunity to visit the Williams F1 collection, rarely open to the public, which spans the team’s 28-year history and includes each of their World Championship winning cars."
The auction will take place from February 21st to 23rd at the RBS Williams F1 conference centre in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
