Motorists considering buying a used Ford Focus RS in the future have been advised that the car is best-suited to Continental ContiSportContact 3 tyres.
Quality tyres will be an important part of the new Ford model, which boasts around 300bhp and has the potential to accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds.
According to Continental, the ContiSportContact 3 tyres with which the Focus RS will be originally equipped are the best options to ensure that its performance is "both sporty and safe".
Lars Frick, automotive engineer for Ford tyres at Continental, said: "The ContiSportContact 3 tyre truly meets the car’s requirements.
"The Ford Focus RS needs tyres that support its sporty driving dynamics and transmit the performance of the very high-torque engine (440 newton metres) efficiently to the road."
Mr Frick revealed that the tyres were tested on Germany’s legendary Nurburgring, where they "performed very well".
The new Ford Focus RS will be debuted at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
