Used Ford Focus drivers believing their current vehicle is a little short on power may want to consider upgrading to the newest model in the range.
The new Ford Focus RS, which will hit the market in the coming weeks, is said to be the fastest Ford Focus model ever, while also being the most powerful front-wheel drive vehicle ever made by the manufacturer in Europe.
Ford’s John Wheeler said: "Historically, RS models have been very different in their approaches.
"Our strategy was to define and create a new RS, with all the characteristics we wanted to see in it, rather than develop a car to compete with anything else already in the market."
The performance car is also fitted with a turbocharged Duratec RS 2.5-litre engine, specially modified by engineers.
To give the Ford Focus RS its own aggressive character, the changes made included a revised cylinder head gasket, revised pistons and larger small end bearings.
In terms of performance, used car drivers may want to know the vehicle can accelerate to 62 miles per hour from standstill in under six seconds, while reaching a maximum speed of 160 miles per hour.
