The new version of the Ford Fiesta is a significant improvement on the last incarnation, it has been claimed.
In a review which appears on the dailypost.co.uk website, David Simister writes that the sixth model in the Ford Fiesta series is as fun to drive as before while also being much more pleasing on the eye.
According to Mr Simister, the new Fiesta has gone from “chunky to funky” thanks to the addition of “swoopy curves” to the bodywork.
He also notes that driveability remains one of the main selling points of the vehicle, as it has been in the past.
“What it does take on from the last few Fiestas is the same reassuringly brilliant driving feel, which encourages you to push on without getting things wrong,” he said in the article.
Inside the car, improved cabin space will appease those less interested in speed and more concerned with comfort, as will a redesigned dashboard and finish.
The new Fiesta was recently crowned What Car? magazine’s Car of the Year for 2009.
