The company commented that the sporty and fun look of the vehicle is complemented by its environmental credentials.
Emitting just 119 g per kilometre of CO2, the car is especially inexpensive as it also falls into vehicle excise band B, which means motorists driving it are eligible for discounts.
"The great value C2 1.6HDi VTS has a recommended retail price of £13,400, which falls to £10,995 in September thanks to a special introductory cashback [deal]," said the firm.
Meanwhile, the French automaker has revealed that it will debut its latest version of the C5 next month.
The car will be in dealerships early in 2008.
