Citroen makes sporty C2 more accessible

Citroen has announced that it is making it "even easier for drivers to get behind the wheel of a brand new C2", with the introduction of free insurance for a year on sport versions of the car.

This offer is available until the end of July and can be taken up by drivers as young as 19.

Motorists of this age can access the deal on the 1.1-litre petrol Furio, for those over 21 it will apply to 1.4-litre petrol and diesel versions, while buyers aged 25 and over will be offered a year’s free insurance on VTR, VTS, By Loeb and Code models.

Outlining the appeal of its supermini range, Citroen said: "All sport-styled C2 models combine devilishly dynamic poise with a sporty design that incorporates a rear spoiler, front fog lights and body coloured bumpers and side skirts."

The manufacturer also described the interior aesthetic of the car as "vibrant", with sport-style seats and a leather steering wheel.

A chrome exhaust pipe, alloy wheels, aluminium pedals and a chrome effect gearknob all come as standard on C2 sport models.
