As with much of the more recent Skoda range, the Fabia is a surprisingly excellent car which tops reliability and customer satisfaction polls, has been universally well received among critics, and offers serious competition to the leading superminis on the market such as the Ford Fiesta and the VW Polo (with which it shares a platform). As well as being affordable (to both run and buy), mature and practical, the Fabia has few faults other than that the Skoda name remains a little uncool.
