With a history of innovation and technological advancement, Saab have always been at the forefront of automobile design. Economic instability and a series of different owners might have put a halt to production for the moment, but they are now working towards reclaiming that mix of technology, luxury and maturity which once made them highly desirable.
Saab Overview
Although not currently in production at the moment, there are still good, solid Saab models on the roads, and on the used market. The 9-3, the successor to the Saab 900, and perhaps the model with most mass appeal, is a compact exec which is comfortable and refined, and is a competent, luxurious alternative to its German rivals. A step up is the 9-5, which offers similar comfort yet more space, yet is just as responsive as its smaller sibling. Continuing their culture of innovation, Saab are now developing electric vehicle technology under new owners National Electric Vehicle Sweden, with new models set for introduction in 2014.
