Known primarily for their range of SUVs and their economic, small cars, Daihatsu are a Japanese manufacturer who have now been withdrawn from Europe. However, there are still a number of models available on the used market.
Daihatsu Overview
One of the most popular on UK roads, the Fourtrak is a raw and robust SUV, which despite being on the compact side, is a competent, solid car both on the road and off it. It doesn't have the same refinement that many modern SUVs have, nor the comfort, but as a unique, fun SUV which offers excellent all-round performance it excels. On the other end of the scale is the Charade, a small and affordable supermini, which while being far from the Fourtrak's reliability and build strength, is at home on claustrophobic city roads. Fast becoming a rare sight, Daihatsus are now the go to option for drivers looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.
