The Citroen C1 was launched in 2005 along with the jointly produced Toyota AYGO and Peugeot 107. Sharing much of its specifications with these two sibling cars, it might not exactly be unique, but the C1 manages to hold an edge with its handling, nipping in and out of traffic with undeniable ease. Like many in the city car class, run costs are very low - emissions fall under 100g/km and so it is road tax exempt, while returns near 70mpg.
