Subaru names used car dealership of the year

Japanese automobile manufacturer Subaru has announced its used car dealer of the year.

The firm has given S & S Services in Heathfield, Ayr its Subaru Used Car Dealer of the Year gong.

By way of a prize, dealer principal of the establishment John Spencer will be rewarded for his work with an all-expenses paid trip to New York.

According to Tom Vause, used car manager at the firm, customers can come into second-hand Subaru full of "absolute confidence" that they will be given great service.

He said: "Competition throughout the Subaru dealer network was extremely high with all Subaru dealers scoring highly in the categories … but S & S Services has proved to be the best of the rest."

Subaru’s first car was introduced to the automobile industry in July, 1953.

In the UK, its slogan is "It’s what make a Subaru, a Subaru".
