Nissan X-Trail ‘evolves’

The new, upgraded versions of the Nissan X-Trail will be available in the UK with prices ranging from £18,795 to £26,720 for the more luxurious model.

Incorporating three new models – the Trek, Sport and Aventura – the Nissan X-Trail sees its modifications arising from comprehensive customer feedback in order to offer a car tailored towards the needs of the driver.

Stand-out features of the X-Trail include the new larger trunk space which includes a sliding drawer, Bluetooth phone integration as well as a climate-controlled air conditioning system.

The four new engines released by Nissan are all new for the X-Trail with the 2.0dCi engine coming in two fuel efficient versions with outputs of both 150PS and 173PS.

"The message coming back was that we changed the X-TRAIL formula at our peril. The original was loved by its owners and many didn’t want us to change a thing. It was a problem, certainly, but a nice one to have," explained Pierre Loing, vice-president of product planning at Nissan Europe.
