The German Design Council has named Mazda’s Takeri as a winner at its Automotive Brand Contest 2012.
A jury of international automotive journalists has named Mazda’s Takeri as the winner of in its ‘Concepts‘ competition – one of 11 categories at the event:
- Parts & Accessories
- Future Mobility
- Brand Design
- Corporate Publishing
The Automotive Brand Contest was founded in 1953 to recognise world leading centres for design expertise. As well as its beautiful design, the Mazda Takeri houses SKY-ACTIV technology and i-ELOOP brake energy regeneration system.
First shown at the end of 2011 at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Mazda Takeri is one of the first Mazda models with the company’s new design language KODO – Soul of Motion. A coupe-like, four-door sedan, it gives a good idea of how the new generation Mazda6 line-up will look.
The new Mazda6 will see global premier at the Moscow Motor Show from 29 August to 9 September 2012.
