Buyers can make a 2.2 per cent saving on the price of the averaged used car compare to May, according to BCA’s latest Pulse Report. The savings have been generated by lower sale volumes and values of nearly-new cars. BCA’s figures suggest that the average price of used car fell by £134 to £5,964 in June. Drivers with a car to part-exchange should also be smiling – values of part exchanged cars rose by £27 month-on-month. The longevity of used cars is also on the up – the average age and mileage of used cars rose to nearly 63 months and 60,000 miles.
