Hyundai has announced plans to unveil a new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show.

The event next month will also see Hyundai present low-emission versions of its production models and a face-lifted version of the Matrix.

But the star attraction will be the HED-5, which is a six-seat MPV, developed in partnership with firms such as Bayer, LG and Recaro.

Hyundai will also use the Geneva Motor Show to highlight its green credentials.

With the motor industry facing growing pressure from the environmental lobby, investment is pouring into cleaner alternatives to traditional petrol and diesel engines.

Hyundai is planning to unveil a new environmental package that will demonstrate how existing technology can dramatically cut CO2 emissions.
