Hummer arrives to blow away UK

Motorists in the UK can experience the ultimate in boy’s toys on the road from today.

The High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Hummer) has hit dealerships in Britain, allowing drivers to get behind the wheel of a car "like no other".

Indeed, the first of the Hummer H3 vehicles was delivered to a London toyshop in a toy box, developed especially for the occasion.

Speaking on behalf of the car manufacturer, Jonathan Nash stated that there was no better way to introduce the model to British customers.

He said: "The H3 is a car built for action and has a unique, iconic style that will travel across the Atlantic and appeal to UK drivers."

The company has a deal in place with the American Red Cross which means it will donate 72 of its vehicles in addition to $600,000 (£300,000) to the safety organisation.
