Personalised registration plate enthusiasts will be looking forward to Tuesday, November 10th – the day when millions of ‘09′ plates are revealed.

The latest series of plates opens up a whole new world of personalised registrations to explore three months before they go on sale on December 3rd.

With millions of different possibilities there is likely to be a personalised plate suited to every motorist.

Perhaps the most eye-catching is FR09 MEN – one that might suit someone with a passion for scuba diving.

Commenting on the release of the 09 plates, Damian Lawson, marketing manager for DVLA Personalised Registrations, said: "Our three week viewing period allows our customers time to have fun and find the registration that best matches them and their vehicles."

People will find it easier to obtain their personalised registration plate following the launch of the DVLA’s online shopping facility. Customers will be able to put new plates on their vehicles from next March.
