One of the significant changes of the Ford Fiesta Zetec S Mountune is its ability to carry on producing the goods when a driver has their foot to the floor, it has been stated.

Richard Meadon has indicated when writing for Drivers Republic that it is hard to notice any performance developments from the Mountune over the standard Zetec S because the original vehicle is "quite lively" in itself.

However, he remarked that it can instantly be told that the Mountune vehicle has been "breathed upon" and after giving it a little bit of time, the developments can be noted and appreciated.

According to Mr Meadon, "Both cars deliver a usefully broad spread of power and torque, but where the standard car tails off at the top end the Mountune car keeps on kicking".

Furthermore, he concluded that "Mountune has done a typically polished job of stoking the Zetec S into a quick and characterful hot hatch".

The introduction of the Mountune performance kit allows motorists to accelerate to 60 miles per hour from standstill in 7.9 seconds, which is two seconds faster than a Fiesta without the kit.
