The British Motor Show, to be held later this month from July 23rd until August 3rd at the ExCel centre in London, will see the debut of the ECOnetic model of the Ford Fiesta.
Coincidentally the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Motor Traders (SMMT) has just published its latest findings that other Fords in the ECOnetic range have attracted a 38 per cent increase in new car sales.
"The British motor show is scheduled to bring half a million car enthusiasts to Ford’s East London heartland," said Roelant de Waard, Ford of Britain chairman and managing director.
"They will see new Fiesta, with sporty Zetec-S and frugal ECOnetic variants on the stand. Many will pass our wind-powered Dagenham plant on the way, where annual production will top 1,000,000 engines this year in response to the shift to eco friendly models."
The Ford Focus and Ford Fusion ECOnetic models are already available. Both produce less than 120g/km of carbon emissions.
