The latest upgrade to the Audi Q7 SUV vehicle is a winner all-round, the company has commented.

Motorists who pick up the latest Q7 3.0 TDI Quattro may find it to be a stylish and economical option on the road.

Indeed, the new model comes in a petrol/electric hybrid version which reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions by more than 20 per cent.

And the electric motor the car runs on is powered by a battery system the firm has stated is "extremely lightweight" at 40 kg and 69 kg respectively.

"The seven-seat Audi Q7 SUV benefits from a ‘win-win’ upgrade this week courtesy of a new version of its 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine which brings lower emissions, higher power and torque and improved performance and fuel economy," said the automaker.

Last month it was announced that environmental campaigner and politician Al Gore was to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for raising awareness of carbon awareness.
