The Audi A4 saloon has been voted European Auto one by readers of the motoring press of not one, but 26 countries.

The award was presented to Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management of Audi AG, during the opening of the Geneva motor show.

The Audi A4 saloon has maximised the cabin space, and has the longest wheelbase of other comparable vehicles in its class. UK orders, placed last September, are beginning to appear on the road with the 08 plates, so it is no surprise that Geneva has the first sight of the Audi A4 Avant, which can be ordered now to be delivered in time for a summer debut.

The Audi A4 is available in a choice of ten petrol and diesel options, as well as sporty and cabriolet body choices. Loaded with technological advances, such as detecting lane ‘drift’ and other sensors, it is easily recognisable by the line of daylight LED lights which give the front headlamps a distinctive ‘eyelash’ impression.
